WHAT: I am a SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted) trained facilitator. I am offering a guided Discussion Group for Parents of Gifted or Twice Exceptional Children.
WHEN & WHERE: Tentative September 15th (a series of 8 sessions). The group will meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30p.m at my south surrey home office - near 32nd and 176th Street
LEADERS: If there are 10 parents or more there may be two facilitators running this group both of whom hold are certified facilitators with experience. Otherwise, one facilitator will run the group using the SENG material/process.
ABOUT THE GROUP: This Model Parent Group provides an opportunity for parents of gifted children to learn more about giftedness, discuss the challenges and share strategies for supporting gifted children.Some of our topics are: characteristics, motivation and underachievement, discipline and self-management, stress and depression, acquaintances and peers, only children and siblings, customs and family relationships and finally exceptionalities , testing and schools.

REGISTRATION DETAILS: Please pre-register as soon as possible by clicking the registration button above or at npatsica@shaw.ca or 604-329-0850 A minimum of 8 parents is required to run this group as a SENG group and a maximum of 15.
COST(includes materials) : $225 - Course is based on Dr. Webb's book each week one chapter is read beforehand, then discussion is based on new knowledge and strategies recommended. Parents have the opportunity to put one or more strategies into effect at home then discuss success/outcomes the following week.
